FireFly
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
FIREFLY
a momentum-driven platforming adventure!
Play as a lost firefly searching for their family, blazing a trail through obstacles, uncovering secrets, and building speed to soar farther than you ever imagine
FireFly is a momentum-driven platforming collect-a-thon where mastering movement is the key to exploring vibrant, open maps. Leap, slide, swing, and launch yourself across hand-crafted environments, discovering shortcuts and hidden alcoves as your skill and search for adventure grow
NOTE: FireFly is still in active development. The current iteration of the game is a active beta, where the movement and basic structure of the game are there. But overtime, more content will be added. If you would like to remain up-to-date consider a follow!
Meet Flyph
Flyph is a small, squishy firefly who has lost their parents. After the accident that separated them, they can no longer fly. Now, they must learn to navigate the world on foot, leaping, climbing, and darting through sprawling paths while they navigate the strange new world of the ground.
Soar with GLOW

The faster Flyph moves, the brighter they shine, and once they start shining, they start moving even faster! Build up momentum to trigger blazing bursts of speed, chaining movement into electrifying displays of skill and agility!
Explore Three+ Open Maps!
From perilous cliffs to the flooded depths of mysterious caverns, Flyph scours the world for any sign of their family, swinging from ropes, wall-jumping past hazards, uncovering secret paths, mysterious friends, and the occasional surprise!
Coming Soon
In the coming months, our trail builders have plenty of additions planned as the game nears finished project status!
- Wild Woodlands Refurbish (in-progress). Currently, the oldest section of the game, designed for our initial playtest in early 2024. The map is in sore need of an update.
- Filling the caves and the mountain with secrets! At the moment, the caves and mountain sections of the games do not have any GG zones, as our park rangers call them. So we will be on the lookout for places where GG might be hiding and update your maps when we find them!
- Piecing together the Story! Currently, there are only the barest sprinklings of story and world-building throughout the game. As our primary focus has been on ensuring we have a fun park for you to explore, that has continually been pushed back. However, as we begin wrapping up, expect to see cutscenes begin to make their way into your experience!
So we got quite the workload on our plate! But we're thrilled to continue to see development through. If you would like to support this endeavor, any donations would help us bring the best possible experience you can get!

W game. I like the funny lil guy
Thank you! They were my first sprite I made for this project. I spent a lot of time on visual effects to make them as squishy as they are.
I had a good time with the game, and submitted some feedback. ( :
Thank You! That means the world to me! If you would like, I have just updated the game to what is the definitive version of our project as we presented it at the Senior Design Showcase. So I would love to here what you think of that! There shouldn’t be too many content changes, however it includes many visual tweaks and control improvements to make certain actions(such as walljumps) easier to preform!
